      On August 20, 2025, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) respectively released the lists of valid candidates for the 2025 academician election on their official websites.

      For the 2025 CAS academician election, there are 639 valid candidates in total:

      · 98 in the Division of Mathematics and Physics,

      · 105 in the Division of Chemistry,

      · 125 in the Division of Life Sciences and Medicine,

      · 96 in the Division of Earth Sciences,

      · 61 in the Division of Information Technological Sciences,

      · 104 in the Division of Technological Sciences,

      · 50 in specially recommended fields.

      For the 2025 CAE (Chinese Academy of Engineering) academician election, there are 660 valid candidates in total:

      · 72 in the Division of Energy and Mining Engineering,
