Miwei
He is an associate professor and master supervisor of School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, Tianjin University of Technology. He received his Ph. D. from Shandong University. His research interests are wide band gap semiconductor materials and devices. He is a member of the National Nanotechnology Standardization Technical Committee and a technical expert of Beijing infraytech Co., LTD. He has published more than 20 papers as the first/corresponding author, and has undertaken a number of projects such as Tianjin Natural Science Foundation, Tianjin Key R & D Plan, and entrusted projects by enterprises and public institutions, and authorized 4 invention patents.
Achievements Display
Prof. Mi Wei has been engaged in Gallium Oxide epitaxy and device related research for more than ten years, specializing in the epitaxy growth of Gallium Oxide. High quality and large size κ/β phase Gallium Oxide epitaxial films with a thickness greater than 20 microns were prepared by HVPE method.
Expert's Message
As a strategic emerging direction of fourth-generation semiconductor materials, Gallium Oxide has shown significant advantages in ultrahigh voltage devices, deep ultraviolet detection and other fields. Current research needs to focus on core issues such as high-quality crystal growth, defect regulation and device reliability, while exploring innovative paths such as heterogeneous integration. It is suggested to strengthen the collaborative innovation of industry, education and research, promote the technological research of the material-process-device whole chain, and accelerate the application verification in new energy vehicles, smart grid and other scenarios. I expected that academic circles and industry will deepen cooperation, jointly break through key technical bottlenecks, and inject new momentum into the leapfrog development of China's wide band gap semiconductor industry.
